Tennis legend McEnroe reveals his current 'Big 3': "There's Alcaraz, Sinner, and then..."

Tennis legend John McEnroe has spoken about who he considers to be the current Big 3. The former player had high hopes for Holger Rune , but after his elimination in the round of 16 at Roland Garros against Musetti, he began to have doubts about the Dane: "Holger was the one I thought would be the third of the new 'Big 3'. Alcaraz, Sinner, and I thought it would be Rune. He has a lot to prove to try to reach the majors," he said.

McEnroe believes Rune "is understanding what he needs in his game," but believes he needs more focus and consistency : "I think that's why he's ranked 10th instead of world number four."

Finally, the seven-time Grand Slam winner revealed who he thinks are the current best: " There's Alcaraz, Sinner, and then Novak . I dare say Rune is a distant third in terms of who can win. Then comes Zverev , and I'd add Tommy Paul. I'm not saying he's there yet, but he's one of those five or six guys who will soon reach third or fourth place in the world, because there are others who are falling like flies," he concluded.
